Marcus K. Pierre
Marcus K. Pierre was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, attending high school at Lusher High School. He received his B.A. in Sociology from Davidson College.
Marcus received a Certificate in Paralegal Studies at Louisiana State University before earning his Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School. During Law school, Marcus focused his studies on Maritime law, earning a Certificate in Maritime law and becoming a member of the Tulane Maritime law Journal. Marcus was also an active member of Tulane’s Moot Court program, earning the awards of Best Oral Advocate – 2017 John R. Brown Appellate Admiralty Moot Court Competition, 1st Place – 2018 Southwest Regional BLSA Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition, Semi-Finalist – 2017 National BLSA Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition. Marcus was teammates with fellow Rabalais Unland Associate Emma Moppert. His practice at Rabalais Unland focuses primarily on worker’s compensation defense and insurance defense litigation.
Marcus resides in Uptown New Orleans, and joined the Board of Directors of New Orleans College Preperatory Academies in the fall of 2020.
Marcus is a musician, soccer player, and competitive powerlifter, competing at the regional and national level.
