Handsome Monica
Handsome Enrique Ray Monica grew up in Mandeville, Louisiana. Upon graduating from St. Paul’s High School, he attended and played baseball at the University of Arizona from 2014-2015. After his freshman year, Handsome transferred to Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida, where he earned his Associate of Arts Degree and was subsequently drafted by the Atlanta Braves. After passing up an opportunity to play professional baseball, Handsome transferred to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, where he started in 113 games over the next three years, graduated cum laude, and ultimately received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Sociology.
Thereafter, Handsome received his Juris Doctorate in 2022 from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he earned the Law Excellence Award in Bar Prep I, Bar Prep II, and Maritime Personal Injury. He was also a member of the Trial Advocacy Program and Latinx Law Student Association.
Handsome was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association in 2022.
Handsome joined Rabalais Unland in 2022, where his practice focuses primarily on workers’ compensation defense, commercial litigation, and general liability disputes.
In his free time, Handsome enjoys playing golf and volunteering with Miracle League of Greater New Orleans and Second Harvest Foodbank.
