Joshua Couvillion

Josh joined the firm in 2013 after graduating from Tulane Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctorate with a Certificate of Concentration in Sports Law. He was a Managing Editor of the Sports Lawyer’s Journal. While in law school, Josh worked for an international sports management agency as an associate, handling athlete representation, collective bargaining agreement and contract interpretation and consultation, and talent scouting.

Josh graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans before attending Long Island University in Brooklyn. N.Y., where he majored in Journalism with a minor in Political Science. While at LIU, Josh was the Sports Editor of the school newspaper and captain of the conference-winning soccer team. Josh developed a strong sense of commitment, dedication, and responsibility through years of competitive soccer, including time as a professional in Sweden prior to pursuing a legal career.

Josh’s practice primarily focuses on personal injury defense, including state workers’ compensation, general liability and automobile accident cases. He is also experienced in insurance coverage disputes, subrogation and recovery claims, and OSHA appeals.

In his spare time, Josh enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and coaching and playing soccer.
